Ballerup Library - informing “fast laners” about other offers
In collaboration with Ballerup Library were came up with a concept that would create attention to the library’s numerous offers. The library has improved the user experience by making the borrowing and returning process self-serving. However, this has led to decreased contact between visitors and librarians, resulting in a lack of awareness of other services.
The solution was a service offer consisting of a rearrangement of the existing fast lane area with a historical timeline and two interactive screens aiming to inform the fast lane users about events and online materials.
Interactive screens
The focal attraction in the new area are two interactive screens, where the users can explore upcoming events and online materials offered by the library.
200 years with Ballerup Library
We created a historical timeline on the back walls of the fast lane area catching the visitors attention, leading them to the two interactive screens.
The main purpose of the service offer:
Inform the users about events and online materials
2. Include an element of call-to-action to create opportunity for users to sign up to events and explore online materials on the spot in the fast lane area
3. To “re-educate” the generation of young adults within the public library’s purpose and many offerings.
